A421 Overnight Closures

The latest work on the A421 means parts of it will be closed on Friday and Saturday night.

On Friday night the A421 will be closed from Marsh Leys to Marston Moretaine so work can be carried out on the Fields Road bridge at Wootton.

On Saturday, a 1,000 tonne crane will be brought in for work at the Marsh Leys Railway near Kempston.

There will be signed diversions in for both.

Roy Brunsden, the Project Manager told Heart, "I know people have been frustrated by queuing and I do regret the fact that people are held up.

"We try our best to get it done but when you can only put one lane of traffic through you haven't really got much choice."
