European Week for Waste Reduction (Community)

Location:Central Bedfordshire

Central Bedfordshire Council are marking the first European Week for Waste Reduction across Central bedfordshire with the following events
- launch of two brand new reuse containers on both Biggleswade and Ampthill Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC's). The launch is part of the council's commitment to waste prevention and coincides with the Eastern regions plans for European Week for Waste Reduction.

As part of the promotion, we are reminding residents to take a moment when clearing their homes, gardens, garages or sheds of unwanted items, to ask themselves whether it can be reused by another. If it can be reused, it can now go in either of the two reuse containers.

- The recycling team will also be at the Bramingham Sainsbury on Tuesday 24th from 10am and Skimpot Lane Tesco on Thursday 26th from 1pm to advise residents about waste reduction, home composting, reducing food waste and answer any recycling questions
